FAQ | How do I know that my KC12 system is performing at its limit and that the loudspeaker is clipping?

Answer


First, each input features a “clip” LED light (labelled SIG/CLIP) that will indicate if the signal(s) going into the KC12 system is clipping, which can potentially cause damage to the amplifier or loudspeaker.

Additionally, a red LIMITER LED located on the KC12 rear panel illuminates when the system built-in limiter is activated to protect and avoid damage to the amplifier or loudspeaker. If the signal level at and frequency is too high, or the amplifier is too hot, the system limiter will be activated and the LED illuminated.
