FAQ | There is an ACOUSTIC GUITAR preset on CHANNEL B, but there is no HI-Z (high impedance) input. Will my acoustic guitar function properly when plugged into that line level input without a HI-Z circuit?
Learn how an acoustic guitar performs with a line level input and if a HI-Z circuit matters for optimal sound quality.
Answer
If your instrument is active (requires a battery to operate) then you typically do not require a HI-Z input to plug your instrument into either input A or B of the CB10 loudspeaker, as the signal level should be appropriate for a line level input (check your instrument’s owner’s manual for details). Likewise if your acoustic instrument is connected to a Foot Pedal (such as a looper or FX processor) with a Line Output, connecting the Line Output to either input A or B of the CB10 loudspeaker will also provide optimum results. Finally, if your instrument has a passive pickup, using a passive or active DI box to convert the low level signal to line level is the ideal solution.
